Trump wrote in a letter to the CEO of SAG-AFTRA, Gabrielle Carteris on Thursday about his resignation from one of the biggest labor unions of the entertainment industry. SAG-AFTRA is a union that represents about 160,000 television and film actors, radio jockeys, recording artists, journalists, singers, internet influencers, singers, dancers, fashion models, and other media professionals.

Trump cited in the letter that he is well aware of the “Disciplinary Committee” of the company which could very well revoke his membership but ‘who cares’. He expressed his feelings that he no longer wants to be a part of the company as the association has never worked anything for him. On the contrary, he mentioned his contributions and his efforts that led to many successes by quoting films like Zoolander, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, and Home Alone 2 which turned out to be blockbusters. He also mentioned television shows like the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Apprentice and Saturday Night Live.

Trump absolutely slammed the company for always benefitting from him but never for his sake. The long membership which began in 1989 has now come to end.

SAG-AFTRA losing no time to respond to the resignation letter just gave a two-word reply, ‘THANK YOU’. The national leadership board of the company had a meeting last month in which they discussed the probable cause they found for the expulsion of the former President Donald Trump from the union.
