“Unlike Vajpayee, PM Modi is running a dictatorship rule” Shatrughan Singh

Terming the Modi regime as ‘Dictatorship,’ the film actor turned politician Shatrughan Sinha – who recently elected from Asansol Lok Sabha seat on Trinamool Congress party ticket said, “Unlike the public rule during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government, the people of the country has made to put up with arrogance and conceit under Narender Modi’s totalitarian rule. It is the regime that used the absolute majority brutally against the people.”

Raising the issue of selective misuse of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in the elections while debating over a new channel, he said, “I wasn’t aware that EVMs can be used as a decisive political strategy to get mandate artificially and retain power. In recently held elections, as the people say that the same strategy was put to play especially in Uttar Pradesh when Akhilesh Yadav’s winning opportunity was turned into a debacle due to selective misuse of EVMs.”

However, he said, this wasn’t replicated in states like Punjab, Kerala, West Bengal and Asansol where they (BJP) don’t have government machinery to use it.

In a veiled attack on the saffron party, Shatrughan Sinha said, “They (BJP) spread their colonialism the way that it often appeared that they are talking more about Hindutva but largely it replicates the cruel Mughal Rule.”

“I mean why are they creating rift between two communities for the heck of it when it is an open secret that every citizen of the country is having the same blood be they Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and Jains etc,” rued the Trinamool Congress leader.

“Hindu-Muslim, Hijab are the issue explicitly cropped up during every election. We never witnessed these during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s rule,” he clarified.

Reacting over the lopsided movie the Kashmir Files, the TMC leader said, “The PM himself found extensively promoting the movie from the Parliament house while no one seriously came forward to help the Kashmiri pandits till date. However, what if someone launches Gujarat Files, Pegasus files, Sikh riot files, Bhagalpur files and Maharashtra files on nerve wrenching riots?”

In another veiling attack on film actor Anupam Khair and others always found supporting the BJP, Shatrugan Sinha said, “I never want to comment on the movie though some of the government coteries who were the supporter of the BJP found acting in the film. I even don’t want to debate over the direction of the film since neither I saw the movie nor I personally know the way the Director Vivek Agnihotri works.”

When asked why the PM is taking shelter behind the movie the Kashmir Files, the TMC leader said, “As no issues left for them to gain the politics and inflation has shot up to a mark ever before coupled with ever growing graph of unemployment, they are raking communal issues to divert the attention.”

“The PM fails to explain how many Indian universities got placed among the first 100 or 200 universities in the globe but was frantically busy in portraying himself as a global leader (Vishwa guru) for the heck of it,” pointed out the TMC leader.
