Unnao Rape Case: CBI Takes Action Against IAS, 2 IPS officials

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) group examining the Unnao rape case in which previous BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar is held accused, has kept in touch with the Uttar Pradesh chief secretary, looking for action against one IAS and two IPS officials.

The IAS official was posted in Unnao as district magistrate at the hour of the occurrence and the two IPS officials were additionally posted in Unnao. All three have been seen as guilty of negligence of duty.

The CBI has sent out a letter to the administration after the officials went under doubt during the investigation.

On the course of the Supreme Court, the issue was moved from Uttar Pradesh to Tis Hazari Court in Delhi and the whole hearing was additionally held there.

Kuldeep Singh Sengar, 54, was condemned to life detainment by the Tis Hazari court on December 20, 2019, in the rap case. The court likewise forced a fine of Rs 25 lakh on Sengar.
