UP BJP Leader Served With Notice By EC Over Offensive Poster

The election commission has served a Notice to the BJP’s publicity and advertisement head Anand Chaudhary with respect to a questionable banner that was transferred via web-based media records of the party competitor from Bulandshahr city voting constituency.

Chaudhary has been approached to respond to the notification within two days.

The banner peruses: ‘Chota pajama kurta lamba, Chaiye shanti ya fir danga’ (Short pajama, long kurta you need harmony or mobs), which, as indicated by the complainant, has designated individuals having a place with the minority local area.

The notification was given by the workplace of representative district administration, who is likewise the returning officer in the voting public.

“A post has been made by you via web-based media for BJP up-and-comer Pradeep Chaudhary. The realities referenced by you in the post don’t adjust to the model set of principles,” the notification said.

The notification further said that assuming Chaudhary neglected to react inside the specified time, the move would be made appropriately.

Chaudhary said he would respond to the EC notice.

BJP’s Usha Sirohi is the sitting MLA from Bulandshahr Assembly seat and the voting public goes to elections on February 10.
