The police security was given to two Muslim women in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh who got married to Hindu men after conversion.
In Bareilly’s Hafizganj area, police have called the families of both sides to the police station and have settled the matter without filing any case from any side.
An abduction and robbery case was filed by the women’s family in the Bahedi area of the district against the Hindu man to whom she got married.
“both The couples, in Hafizganj and in the Bahedi area, are adults. In both cases, the girl’s statement has been considered. In the Hafizganj case, the couple came to the police and sought security. both the families were called by the police to the police station and the matter was settled. later the woman’s family has accepted the girl’s marriage and no case was filed .” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Rohit Singh Sajwan said.
The marriage was on Thursday in a temple and the saffron outfit members also came and support the couple.
In the Bahedi area Muslim woman eloped with a Hindu man on Tuesday. Later the woman released a video saying that she got married on September 4 in a temple after converting into Hinduism and She also alleged that her parents have threatened to kill her.
The woman said in the video. “My parents are responsible if something happens to my husband,”.
A day later family of the woman has booked a case on her husband, who was booked on the charges of robbery and abduction.
Police have said that the couple is in contact with the (IO) investigating officer of the case and will be produced before a magistrate.
