Vellampalli slams Chandrababu for throwing panel reports in bonfire

Amaravati: AP Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas today lashed out at TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu for asking people to stop celebrating auspicious festival Sankranti.

Speaking to the media after he lit Bhogi bonfire at Indrakeelaadri Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada, the Minister said the Jagan Mohan Reddy government allocated Rs 7 crore for the Sankranti celebrations. It is unfortunate that Chandrababu Naidu was trying to make use of the most important festival Sankranti for his political benefit. He also said Chandrababu Naidu is upset as all sections of people were happy under the YSRCP rule and the State was taking giant steps towards development and growth in all sectors.

He also criticized the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu for organizing a protest and for throwing copies of the GN Rao Committee and Boston Group Reports in the bonfires set as part of Bhogi celebrations as a mock burning of the recommendation reports.

On the other hand, Chandrababu Naidu along with Pawan Kalyan was making attempts to gain political mileage by spreading false propaganda against the State government’s proposal of three capitals, which will benefit all the people in the State. He also said Chandrababu Naidu was holding needless protests against the three capital proposal and to maintain his political existence and protect his properties in Amaravati.

Srinivas said all the people across the State, cities, towns, and villages were celebrating Sankranti as a mark of their happiness under YSRCP ruling.
