India’s Boxer Vikas Krishan 75kg cruised into the quarter-final in the Asian Games held here on Monday beating Pakistan boxer Tanveer Ahmed 5-0 in the round of 16. Pakistani boxer had some chances of winning when he landed some good punches against Krishan, but Indian seemed to be more aggressive and consecutively scored 10 points in each round, while his opponent went for 9 points in each round.
In the third round Pakistan boxer changed his strategy and came in attacking mode, but Vikas had it all the way and all the judges ruled unanimously in his favour.
Krishan won a gold medal in the 2010 Asian Games in the Lightweight category and a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
