Wasim Rizvi, Former Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board recently released a video recorded message. With a trail of controversies in the past, he expressed his desire to be cremated according to the Hindu rituals and not buried.
Body To Handed Over To His Hindu Friend
In the video message, he informed that after his passing, his body must be handed over to his Hindu friend Mahant Narasimha Nanda Saraswati of the Dasna temple and he should be the one to light his pyre.

In the video, he said that he has earned the anger from his community after he challenged 26 ayats of the Quran and then later claimed to have written a new Quran. Following this, he filed a PIL in the Supreme court to seek the removal of the verses from the Quran, which he claimed taught violence.
Since the PIL, he has reportedly received multiple death threats from Muslim groups.
