Hyderabad: AIMIM party president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi today made it clear that they did not have any alliance with the ruling TRS party in the upcoming GHMC elections. Citing that they had won 44 divisions during last year’s GHMC elections and now they would win 52 divisions on their own in the upcoming elections.
He said that the development works done by the party leaders would ensure their victory in the elections. He made these remarks while addressing a gathering during his Padayatra in Nampally Assembly constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, he came down heavily on rival BJP. He alleged that the BJP was forcefully thrusting Hindutva on the people of the state and added that the politics of the BJP leaders were not good. Owaisi claimed that the BJP led central government had not done any help to the flood-hit Hyderabad city. He demanded the BJP leaders reveal the financial help extended by the center to the state.
He alleged that the BJP was raking up the issue of religion to hide its failure to extend any kind of financial assistance to the state. Commenting on the love jihad issue being raised by the BJP, Owaisi said that the issue was against articles 14 and 21 of the Indian constitution and advised the BJP leaders to read the Indian constitution first before commenting on such unconstitutional issues.
