A Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) constable has filed a disturbing complaint with the Maredpally police station, accusing a man she has known for over a decade of multiple instances of rape. The 29-year-old victim, hailing from Mahabubnagar, detailed a harrowing ordeal that began with a chance encounter and escalated into a pattern of abuse.
The victim’s initial contact with the accused occurred over a decade ago through a wrong number call. This accidental connection led to a sustained relationship, primarily maintained through phone calls and messages. In 2015, the victim moved to Hyderabad for police training, bringing her closer to the accused who resided in East Marredpally.
During this period, their relationship deepened, and the accused professed his love, promising marriage. However, under the guise of love and commitment, the accused allegedly exploited the victim’s trust, subjecting her to repeated sexual assaults at his residence. The victim’s persistent attempts to discuss marriage plans were met with evasion and avoidance, leaving her feeling betrayed and violated.

The victim’s courage in coming forward is commendable. It is imperative that law enforcement authorities conduct a swift and impartial investigation to ensure that the accused is brought to justice and that the victim receives the necessary support and counseling.
