Hyderabad: The ruling YSRCP senior leader and the party MLC Challa Ramakrishna Reddy died of the Covid-19 virus while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad today.
He was admitted into Apollo Hospital on December 13 of the last month. He was given treatment by the hospital staff on a ventilator. Reddy developed the Covid 19 virus symptoms on December 5.
Following this, he immediately went under self-quarantine for some days. As his health condition deteriorated, he was taken to Apollo hospitals for better treatment.
He joined the Congress party after coming out of TDP. Reddy joined the ruling YSRCP before the last assembly elections. His last rites would be performed at his native place in Avuku. The ruling party leaders have expressed their condolences over the death of the MLC.
