Hyderabad: The Balanagar police on late Friday busted a rave party at a popular resort in Shamirpet under Medchal district arrested seven doctors and four others.
According to Shamirpet circle inspector Naveen Reddy, on a tip-off, the Balanagar SOT police raided the Celebrity Resort at Shamirpet and arrested seven doctors, and four others, who were being questioned, belong to Mumbai, while one is from Hyderabad. The seven doctors, who were arrested are from Gajwel Assembly constituency. Four girls, including one from Mumbai were rescued in the raid. All the accused were sent to Shamirpet police station for follow-up action. As the accused were well-known person, the police declined to disclose their names.
With the New Year parties are around the corner, police have stepped up security measures and intensified vigilance on drug peddlers and other anti-social activities. However, every year many people were being arrested in Hyderabad for drunk and drive on New Year’s Eve. (NSS)
