Hyderabad: Telangana Health director, Dr G Srinivas Rao today informed that there are 12,178 active cases of Corona, only one percent death rate and recovery rate is 65.48 in the state.
The director has said that out of more than 17000 beds in hospitals only about 10 percent beds are filled and the rest of 90 percent are lying vacant. He said that 85 percent of people of the state gave no symptoms of Coronavirus. The people and Corona patients are needless to worry about the beds and can avail the facilities and services, he said.
Addressing a press conference here at public health directorate office here Srinivas Rao has said that the government is committed to providing the best services to COVID patients in these hospitals. The Corona patients should visit the government hospitals for treatment instead of the private hospitals he suggested. His remarks get significant as the private hospitals are looting Corona patients and levying hefty fees and charges by violating government norms.
Srinivas Rao has said that only one percent death rate was registered among the Corona patients in Telangana. We have offered permissions to 98 private hospitals to conduct Corona tests he clarified. The positive cases are on the rise due to. The more public movement followed by easing lockdown curbs in the state he stated. Stating that those who don’t get home isolation can get hospitals for isolation he said that teaching hospitals are to start COVID tests. There are 9768 active patients are under home isolation, Srinivas Rao said.
Rao asked people to avoid panic and get all types of health services by calling to 104 and other numbers as three call centers are working 24 hours.
