Hyderabad : Roads and Buildings Minister V Prashanth Reddy today informed the house that the government will construct 2 lakh units of two bedroom houses for the poor by March 2020. During question hour the minister informed to the members Pasha Khadri, Anasuya, Suman and Vivek on the works being completed for the flagship housing facility for the poor in the state. We are completing the housing facility for the poor free of cost and it is first of its kind in the country, he said. Entire credit goes to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for providing the housing facility to the poor.
The IT and MAUD Minister is showing keen interest to complete the facility for the poor. We are constructing 17000 units in Kollur township and 12,756 in Khutubullapur near Hyderabad he said. As an engineer it took me 8 years to build just 400 houses and these houses for the poor bein built in 2 years now. As per KTR wish housing in old city speeded up as 880 units were completed out of 4123 units he said.
Listing out district wise details he said that under GHMC purview of one lakh units so far completed 7944 units, 90 per cent complete 66273 units and rest will be completed by March 2020 he said. (NSS)
