4,383 new gram panchayats from today: Jupally

Hyderabad: with formation of new village panchayats rural governance will help flourish the rural pockets in the state of Telangana. The villages will witness a rapid growth and speedy development by getting direct funds from the Centre and the state as well.

This was informed by Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Jupally Krishna Rao. He said that as many as 4383 new village pancyayats will start functioning from August 2 which will be a game changer for the rural areas that are lagging behind in terms of development. Rao said that he will participate in a similar program of new village panchayat at Nagar Kurnool district on August 2. Krishn Rao called upon the Ministers, MLAs, MPs, MLCs and local leaders to participate in the program of forming new village panchayats in districts and make it a huge success.

The new panchayat raj act has envisaged development of the villages in a big manner by turning Gandhiji dreams into reality. The long cherished dreams of people making small and remote villages as panchayats is also coming true he said. Despite not it manifesto Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao took steps in this regard for turning them smaller and tiny villages as panchayats to achieve rapid growth. The Centre will provide funds through 14thfinance commission for the rural development he said. He extended thanks to the people on the occasion. (NSS)
