Hyderabad : On Sunday, “Aatmiya Sammelanam” was conducted for the staff and family members of the Osmania University Police Station of East Zone. City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar along with his spouse Vasundhara Sinha, IRS, were present as chief guest.
T. Govinda Reddy , Addl. DCP, East Zone along with, ACP S.Sudhakar of Kachiguda, Inspectors Rajashekhar Reddy, L.Ramesh Naik of OU PS cordially received all the family members at the police station and made them feel at home. Cultural programs were organized for the entertainment of the family members.
The Commissioner felt happy on meeting the family members and said he started organizing Aatmeeya Sammelans for the family members of the police station personnel as they are the backbone of the family and it is only due to their co-operation that policemen were able to perform their duties. He also hailed sacrifices made by the family members due to emergency duties.
In all, some 250 family members of police personnel participated in the event. Delicious dishes were served and Anjani Kumar had lunch along with the police family members. (NSS)
