At Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (now Bharat Rashtra Samithi) will be holding a crucial joint meeting with the TRS Legislative Party (MLAs and MLCs), the Parliamentary Party (MPs), and the TRS state Executive.
The TRS is holding its second general body meeting after converting into the BRS party post-Munugode Bypoll and is eager to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after the noted MLA poaching case.
The meeting is chaired by TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who will analyze the party’s performance in the recent Munugode by-election, which TRS won with its candidate K Prabhakar Reddy defeating BJP’s Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy by over 10,000 votes.
The party expected a majority of more than 20,000 votes, and the meeting may discuss the reasons for shortcomings and how to avoid them in the future.
TRS members will most likely discuss a plan of action against the BJP for making false promises and attempting to destabilize elected governments in states.
Apart from reinforcing the TRS (BRS) at the grassroots level, KCR may instruct party functionaries on the action plan for expanding the TRS (BRS) to neighboring states.
The meeting will be significant in light of recent developments in the state as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana.

“The meeting is likely to focus on preparing party leaders for all possible BJP tactics, including the use of Central agencies against them,” TRS state general secretary said. It will also instill confidence among party leaders and cadre in the wake of the BJP’s increasing attempts to destabilize the government.”
Because this is the first meeting following the arrest of three alleged BJP agents while attempting to buy four TRS MLAs, the party leaders are likely to be given details about the scandal, including evidence shared by the complainant and TRS MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy.
The elected representatives and other leaders are likely to be asked to share the evidence against the accused with constituents and to counter the BJP’s false propaganda at every opportunity.
Following that, the chief minister will most likely discuss plans for his upcoming tours to various districts to inaugurate integrated district collectorate complexes as well as TRS (BRS) district offices.
KCR may explain the agenda and strategy of BRS to party leaders in greater detail, as well as provide guidelines on how the party should function at various levels under the new name.
The TRS chief is expected to discuss holding a rally in Delhi or Uttar Pradesh in December to formally announce the launch of the BRS.
