Ashish Misra, son of Union Minister Ajay Misra, who has been in judicial custody regarding the Lakhimpur Kheri case, has been sent back to jail from the district hospital. He will continue the treatment for dengue from the jail hospital.
Ashish Misra Reportedly Seemed Healthy In A Video Clip
A video clip recently showed Ashish Misra walking healthy under the custody of jail officials at the district hospital in the Lakhimpur Kheri. The video showed that he seemed “healthy” and was not handcuffed. Meanwhile, the police officials maintained distance from him to let him walk freely.

As the clip got in the notice of Chief Judicial Magistrate by the Special Investigation Team, Misra was sent back to jail from the district hospital. His judicial custody ended a prior as he had fallen sick and tested positive for dengue. He was then remanded to judicial custody. While his counsel suggested for him to be transferred to a hospital in Lucknow, but the doctors informed that his fluctuation blood sugar and blood pressure could have handled in the district hospital itself.
CJM Sends Notices To Jail Superintendent, CMO
CJM Chinta Ram on Tuesday sent separate notices to the jail superintendent and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) asking if it was possible for Ashish to get the treatment in the jail hospital itself. They were asked to respond by Thursday.
Following this, Jail Superintendent PP Singh said that Ashish was discharged from the district hospital on Tuesday evening and returned to jail at 7pm. He was then sent to the district hospital for some tests and the decision to admit him was taken by the doctors.
Singh further said that currently, his condition is stable inside the jail.
Ashish Misra is the prime suspect for the deaths in the Lakhimpur Kheri case. He was arrested on October 9.
