Ashraf Al-Madaris High School, located in Murtaza Nagar, Yaqutpura, recently held its annual Sports Day celebration, with Major General N.D. Prasad (Retd.), A.V.S.M., V.S.M., Chief Operating Officer of Sahaita Trust, gracing the event as the Chief Guest.
The event began with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by an impressive display of drill exercises and a march past by the high school students, who saluted the Chief Guest. The students performed brilliantly, showcasing discipline and team coordination. Later, the primary school students entertained the audience with a traditional Jalebi game, adding a fun element to the event.
The Joint Secretary of the school, Mr. Syed Abdul Majid, welcomed the guests and attendees, delivering an insightful speech on the importance of sports in a student’s life. He emphasized that physical activities not only build physical strength but also help develop discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills.

The Chief Patron of the school, Professor M.M. Anwar, also addressed the gathering, sharing valuable advice on how sports can positively influence a student’s personal and academic growth. Major General N.D. Prasad, in his address, spoke about the role of sports in fostering holistic development, helping students achieve mental and physical well-being.
The school’s Secretary, Mr. Syed Anisuddin, also spoke to the students, offering them his words of encouragement and guidance. As a mark of respect, both the Chief Guest and the school’s secretaries were honored with flower garlands and shawls.
In the later part of the event, prizes were distributed to the students by the Chief Guest and the school leadership, including the Chief Patron, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and school leader Mr. Syed Maqsood Ali. Teachers, including Ms. Arshiya and Ms. Shireen, were responsible for organizing the drill and march past activities.
The event was successfully managed by the Headmaster of the high school, Mr. Syed Abdul Basit, who also delivered the vote of thanks. He expressed his gratitude to the participants, guests, teachers, and parents for their support in making the event a grand success.
