Assembly Sessions Begins, Adjourns on First Day After Paying Tributes to Former MLAs

The Eighth session of the Telangana state Assembly began in the city today. The Speaker of the house Pocharam Srinivas Reddy introduced a motion for paying tribute to all former MLAs, who have lost their lives in recent times.

The speaker read out the names of the deceased MLAs in the house and paid tributes to them. The names of these MLAs are Kunja Bujji, Azmeera Chandulal, Ketiri Sai Reddy, Kunja Biksham, Meneni Satyanarayana Rao, Macharla Jagannatham, Rajayyagari Mutyam Reddy, Boggarapu Seetharamaiah, and Chekuri Kasaiah, The house was later adjourned for the day after the adoption of the motion of condolences.

On the other hand, pro-tem speaker Bhupal Reddy introduced the motion of condolences in the legislative council. It was adjourned for the day later. The Assembly session was convened after six months of the budget session of the house. The state government is planning to table bills related to the dalitha Bandhu scheme and several other schemes in the house .

On the other hand, the opposition political parties are getting ready to corner the state government on issues like unemployment wage, three acres land to the Dalits of the state and other promises made by the TRS led state government . The authorities have made all arrangements to ensure Covid protocol on Assembly premises.
