Auto Drivers JAC Demands Total Prohibition in State Vet’s case

Hyderabad: Telangana Auto Driver’s JAC has demanded to hang of Priyanka’s Rapists and said had there been total prohibition enforced in the Telangana State,   the Priyanka Reddy’s incident would have not taken place at all.

Mohd Amanullah Khan, Convenor,  while addressing a press conference today at Hyderguda  NSS said that the KCR government should own up the responsibility of the Priyanka incident and should announce immediate decision enforcing total prohibition in the State and this would be a fitting homage to Priyanka.  Otherwise, one day Auto bandh in twin cities on December 10 will be observed demanding “Sharab  Hatao-Telangana Bachao”.  Further, he alleged that there is no difference between the wine bottle and helmet and said that drinking and wearing a helmet are the two main reasons for the increasing number of road accidents and crimes.  He said that if the total prohibition is enforced and turban use is made compulsory instead,   80% of the accidents and crimes will come down automatically.

He alleged that most of the State Governments including Telangana State have taken liquor and helmet for granted as two buffaloes fetching milk and they are encouraging both of them as a source of income only to fill in the coffers of the Government. Besides he said that wearing a helmet,  the two-wheeler rider can neither hear nor is aware who passes by him as he can only see straight like a horse with blinkers on. The wearing helmet also increases the chances of meeting with an accident due to impeded hearing.  Regarding an increase in crimes,  thieves and robbers in the guise of wearing helmets are indulging in chain snatching and committing other crimes without the fear of being identified or caught.  He alleged that the policemen nowadays are busy to ban non-ISI head gears and that they are working as helmet salesmen.  Finally, Khan demanded the government to solve the reasonable demands of auto drives without further delay.

Laxmi Narsaiah, Rafath Ullah Baig, V. Gopalan, Mohd Rafeeq, Mohd Azeemuddin, and Farooq Bhai were present at the press meet.
