Hyderabad: The TRS today suspended former MLA and State Road Transport Development Corporation Chairman T Narsa Reddy for anti- party activities and talking to the Congress leadership. Narsa Reddy is set to join the Congress fold very soon, according to informed sources. TRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao got furious and suspended Narsa Reddy as he held talks with TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Congress executive president Revanth Reddy and others like star campaigner Vijayashanthi on Thursday evening. Narsa Reddy has been sore with KCR for denying him MLC post and being ignored by the party top-brass for some time.
It is said that Revant Reddy and Vijayashanthi took Narsa Reddy, followers, other MPTCs and other leaders from Gajwel segment to Delhi to meet with AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi to get into the Congress fold. Another reason he cited was that KCR failed to console him when he was seriously ill.
Narsa Reddy is also learnt to have resigned from the TRS membership and informed Harish Rao and MP K Prabhakar Reddy about his quitting the party. The Congress has offered Narsa Reddy a ticket from Medak segment for the polls as the Gajwel ticket was reportedly offered to V Pratap Reddy. The Congress has convinced Narsa Reddy to contest from any other place and offer MLC post to Marri Shashidhar Reddy who seeks same ticket. (NSS)
