State Government issued guidelines banning the rallies and public meetings to follow corona protocols to check the spread of Omicron variant as cases keep rising.
The people are asked to follow corona protocols temporarily till January 2.
The government issued orders to follow these protocols as the high court directed to take necessary measures in three days. The government instructed the officials concerned to see that the people wear masks, sanitize hands, avoid social gatherings and maintain physical distance.

The government will not allow public meetings, rallies in the state including districts. However, the people following corona protocols can gather in fewer numbers as thermal screening is made mandatory. The same norms are to be followed to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant, the government said.
Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar instructed that the collectors, SPs, CPs, and other officials concerned should enforce the corona protocols. He said that the government will not allow rallies and public meetings of any type in the state
