Guardians To Decide If They Want To Send Children To Schools
Bratya Basu, state Education Minister said that the government is keen to reopen schools for the children and return them to mainstream education. Following the same, they are planning to open schools in phases. He informed that they are beginning with classes 9 to 12, university and college students.

He assured that they will assess the situation in a couple of days and depending on that, they will reopen schools at junior levels as well. He further informed that for the reopening, they have taken care of all the Covid 19 related norms. At the same time, it is at the discretion of the guardians if they wish to send children to physical classes.
State Government Issues Strict Guidelines
The next phase of reopening the schools will depend on the response from the current phase. The state education department has issued a strict guidelines regarding the Covid 19 protocols to be followed in schools.
As per the state government guidelines, students of Class 9 and 11 will begin at 10am till 3:30pm. For classes 10 and 12, the classes will be held from 11 am to 4:30am. In both the timings, the students will report half an hour in advance.
The schools will be dividing the classes in two or more separate rooms depending on the availability of resources of the Covid 19 protocols. Meanwhile, no guardians or other visitors will be allowed to be campus. Sharing of tiffins and drinking water is strictly not allowed.
Meanwhile, wearing face masks is compulsory for all students, teachers and the non teaching staff.
