Hyderabad : CLP Leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday mocked the statement of ruling TRS party leaders that the Congress may disappear from the political scene in the state. He also said several regional political parties like TRS disappeared without making a dent to the Congress.
In an informal chat with mediapersons, Bhatti said it was a mistake of TRS if it thought that the Congress party would disappear from the State. Commenting on the MLC elections, he said it was the responsibility of the Congress party to win the MLC seat and noted that they had enough numbers to win one MLC seat in the State. He also advised the TRS to act in a democratic manner.
Bhatti Vikramarka asked the TRS to declare the name of its PM candidate while noting that their party president Rahul Gandhi would become Prime Minister of the Country if the people of the State voted for it. He wondered whether BJP leader Narendra Modi would become the PM of the country if the people of the State voted for the TRS in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He also utilized the occasion to attack the Speaker of the House and alleged that he was acting in a partisan manner by not allowing the Opposition party members to speak in the House.
He told the Speaker that he should understand that the voice of the Opposition political parties was the voice of the people of the State. He alleged that the State government passed a bill related to BC community without allowing a discussion on the issue. (NSS)
