BJP complaint to EC against KCR

Hyderabad: A team of the BJP leaders, led by N Indrasena Reddy today filed a complaint to the Election Commission against TRS president and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao alleging that the latter has violated poll code after casting votes along with wife in Chintamadaka village in Siddipet constituency.

Indrasena Reddy met Chief Electoral Officer Dr Rajath Kumar at the Secretariat here and filed a complaint seeking action against KCR for poll code violation in Siddipet segment. Soon after casting votes, KCR said the people are with the TRS party, which will sweep the polls. Indrasen said KCR violated the poll code by stating that the TRS will win with big majority as people are with the TRS. The attitude of the Chief Minister was aimed at misguiding the people to vote for the TRS and not in favour the BJP, he alleged.

The BJP leader complained about late starting of the polling and some disruptions with technical problems of EVMs and the EC has to extend time to avoid inconvenience to the voters. He also welcomed the directive of the Supreme Court limiting reservations to 50 per cent. The apex court made it clear that the reservation of the State Government should not exceed 50 per cent reservation. Indrasena Reddy suggested to KCR to move court and stop leveling false charges against the BJP Government. (NSS)
