BJP Govt Failed to Support: Harish Rao

Telangana Finance & Health Minister T Harish Rao today slammed the BJP government at the Centre for showing a partisan attitude towards Telangana.

The minister flayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his comments in Parliament as he failed to implement bifurcation promises. The Centre was resorting to cheat people and cut the subsidies on fuel, gas cylinder, and anti-development programs. He hit out at the Centre for not responding to its repeated appeals for funds, projects, and timely response.

Speaking at a program at Siddipet, Harish Rao accused the Centre of deliberately ignoring the pleas of the State. He charged Prime Minister Narendra Modi with adopting double standards on developmental programs. “We have been urging the Centre for several years for projects, institutions, and funds to no avail. While the Modi government gave funds, grants, and projects to Gujarat, Karnataka, and others, same support was not being offered to Telangana State.

Harish Rao lashed out at the BJP government for not giving national status to any water project, ITIR, Navodaya schools, medical colleges, steel factory, coach factory, and others.

“Despite repeated appeals, the Centre denied us Rs 24,000 Cr recommended by Niti Ayog Committee for Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya schemes, he fumed.

The BJP State leaders should stop vilification campaign as they failed to get funds or projects, he suggested. After bifurcation of the united AP, the Centre added seven mandals to AP to benefit it and incur loss to power sector in Telangana, Harish Rao said.

The talk by Modi in Parliament was not correct as he failed to implement bifurcation promises.
