As per the latest information, prominent names, including Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi are absent from the BJP’s list of possibility for the Rajya Sabha polls to be held one month from now.
The BJP has up until this point delivered the names of 22 competitors in three records for the June 10 election.
The list misses the names of Union Minority Affairs Minister Naqvi, previous Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, party public general secretary Dushyant Gautam, previous public VP Dr Vinay Sahastrabuddhe, previous Union Minister Shiv Pratap Shukla and public representative Syed Zafar Islam.
Sahastrabuddhe is filling in as leader of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Sources said that Naqvi might be handled from the Rampur Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh for which bypolls are booked for June 23. Naqvi is chosen for the Upper House from Jharkhand and the BJP has named Aditya Sahu from the express this time.
Late Monday night, the BJP declared the names of four additional possibility for the impending biennial elections for the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh.

On Sunday, the BJP reported the names of 18 contender for the Rajya Sabha biennial decisions in two records. In a list of competitors delivered on Sunday, the BJP has handled Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman from Karnataka and Piyush Goyal from Maharashtra.
The BJP has handled Sitharaman, entertainer turned-lawmaker Jaggesh and Lahar Singh Siroya from Karnataka, while Kavita Patidar and Sumitra Valmiki will challenge from Madhya Pradesh.
From Maharashtra, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Anil Sukhdevrao Bonde and Dhananjay Mahadik have been handled. From Uttar Pradesh, Laxmikant Bajpai, Radhamohan Aggarwal, Surendra Singh Nagar, Baburam Nishad, Darshana Singh, Sangeeta Yadav, Mithlesh Kumar and Dr K. Laxman are the up-and-comers.
In Bihar, the saffron party has given passes to Satish Chandra Dubey and Shambhu Sharan Patel. The BJP has handled Kalpana Saini from Uttarakhand, Krishan Lal Panwar from Haryana and Ghanshyam Tiwari from Rajasthan. Biennial elections for 57 Rajya Sabha seats will be held across 15 states on June 10.
