Hyderabad : Telangana BJP today urged election commission to conduct an enquiry into the biased conduct of the officials and take serious action against the erring officials. In a memorandum submitted to the state chief electoral officer, BJP said it was reported that some officials of GHMC led by its deputy commissioner and others have visited the houses without informing political parties with an intention to manipulate the records as the party has complained of bogus voters last month during visit of CEC to Hyderabad. Visiting houses without giving information by the officials is contrary to the assurance given by the CEC. It was a clear effort to manipulate or alter the records, the memorandum said.
The party demanded election commission to conduct a public enquiry into the allegations of bulk bogus votes and intimate the inspection date, time and venue to all political parties. The BJP also demanded action against TPCC president Uttam Kumar reddy for gross violation of model code of conduct as he indulged in religion based propaganda. A delegation of BJP led by senior leader N Indrasen Reddy submitted the memorandum. (NSS)
