Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Minister Botsa Satyanarayana on Sunday said he would stand by his earlier statement on the State capital. He said as the construction of the State capital at Amaravati was a huge financial burden, the issue of the capital at Amaravati was under active consideration of the present government.
Addressing mediapersons at Vizianagaram district today, Botsa slammed Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan for adopting double standards on the State capital issue. He alleged that previous TDP government did not consider the opinion of Sivarama Krishna committee report that the state capital at Amaravati would have flood threats. On the allegations of former Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, Botcha said the law of the land would take care of it. (NSS)
