Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress affairs in-charge Omen Chandy has said he was excited as former chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Byreddy Rajashekhar Reddy returning to Congress fold. He also clarified that his party will not enter into any alliance with any political party.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Chandy said they will strengthen the party from booth level in a phased manner. AICC chief Rahul Gandhi and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will participate in election campaigns in Andhra Pradesh. He also said there would be more influx of leaders into Congress. He said Congress would go to people with Special Category Status and development agendas.
Congress party senior leader Pallamraju said that they have the confidence that people would receive the Congress party and they will take up door to door campaign from October 2 onwards. He made it clear that the Congress party was stick to Kapu Reservations issue and said that Rahul Gandhi will participate in a public meeting to be held on August 3 in Kurnool. (NSS)
