Hyderabad: On the occasion of 73rd Independence Day today, Chief Justice of the High Court Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan, extended his greetings to people of the State. He hoisted national tricolour on the High Court premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Chauhan said the country surpassed many milestones in the past 70 years and achieved monumental progress and development. Referring to judiciary, the Chief Justice said to improve facilities in the judiciary foundation stone was laid for Telangana Judicial Academy at Shameerpet. He also launched an App in the High Court facilitating e-filing. Disclosing that the High Court signed an MoU with State Bank of India and start e-payment shortly so that court charges can be remitted online.
The Chief Justice also presented Commendation Certificates to police personnel, who tactfully dealt with fire mishap in June. He also presented medals to meritorious children of Class IV staff of the Court.
Telangana High Court Bar Association president Suryakiran Reddy, Telangana Bar Council chairman Narsimha Reddy, Advocate-General BS Prasad, judicial officers and advocates were present. (NSS)
