Hyderabad: The exodus from the Congress party was going on unabated. Lately, former minister and Chairman of TPCC OBC Department J Chittaaranjan Dass, has sent his resignation to AICC president Rahul Gandhi stating that he was not able to function in the party as there was no social equality and respect for the senior members in the party.
Stating that he was disgusted with the affairs in the party, Chittaaranjan Dass reportedly announced that he will be joining the ruling TRS party to serve the people better. Chittaaranjan Dass also sent copies of his resignation letter to TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Congress Legislature Party leader Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu.
Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and former member of Rajya Sabha Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar also sent his resignation letter to Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
Speaking to mediapersons here today, Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar said though he was working hard for strengthening the party, the State party bosses were sidelining him in the party affairs and were taking unilateral decisions. He also observed that there were no chances that the party would regain strength under the leadership of AICC president Rahul Gandhi. He also said he has taken any decision to join any other party yet. (NSS)
