Hyderabad: Sathya Adithya Thati and Y Sai Sandeep, both from Hyderabad, have bagged first and second ranks respectively in TSICET 2018 results announced on Wednesday. They scored 164.28882 marks and 163.90785 marks respectively, Prof. Papi Reddy, Chairman of The Telangana State Council of Higher Education has told a press conference here.
Prof. Papi Reddy said the test was conducted for admissions into MBA and MCA Courses to be offered by the Osmani University and private colleges across the State. He said as many as 49,812 candidates passed the examination and the pass percentage was 90.25. While 61,439 candidates registered for the test, 55,191students appeared for the exams, he said. Since the universities are yet to complete the process of affiliation of private colleges, counseling will be conducted at a later date, he clarified.
The TSCHE chairman said during the last 2017-18 academic year, some 28,000 seats were filled as against seats capacity of 32,000 in 304 colleges, including the government and private colleges. Similarly in the MCA courses, 3,306 seats have been filled out of the 5,846 seats available in 49 colleges, Papi Reddy said. (NSS)
