Hyderabad: Civil Supplies Department received three National Skoch Awards this year for implementing latest IT project in PDS and Procurement. It received awards for Online Procurement Management System (OPMS), T-Ration App and T-Wallet.
Civil Supplies General Manager (Marketing) G. Nagender Reddy received the awards from Skoch Head Panneer Kocchar in New Delhi. OPMS software ensures smooth transaction in paddy procurement from farmers and payments. It sends SMSes to farmers of their nearby PPCs soon after procurement season starts. It also makes payments directly into farmers’ accounts. This year, with help of OPMS in Khariff and Raby seasons Rs 13,657 crore where deposited directly into farmers’ accounts.
T-Ration App helps PDS beneficiaries to see live transaction of FP shops. They can locate nearby FP shop, whether it is working or closed and also gives information on the stock availability in shop. T-Wallet App was introduced in FP shops to benefit both beneficiaries and Ration Dealers. With the help of this app people get digital services at Ration shops like electricity bills, house tax, mobile, DTH recharges and other online bill payments. The wallet provides more employment and extra income to ration shop dealers.
