Hyderabad: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday made it clear that they would decide on chief minister candidate of grand alliance after the completion of the elections. He also made it clear that they cannot take any decision on the CM candidate before the elections while stressing that their only goal was to ensure the defeat of CM KCR in the Friday’s elections.
Addressing the media here, along with TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, TJS president M. Kodandaram, CPI national leader Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, Balladeer Gaddar and MRPS president Manda Krishna Madiga after conclusion of the grueling election campaign, Rahul said KCR had betrayed the people of the State. “We thought that he would delver on all the promises and fulfills al the aspirations of the people of the State. However, he broke all their dreams and aspirations and completely failed to deliver on his promises,” he said. The Congress president promised to establish food processing units in the State while noting that their primary goal would be provide jobs to all the unemployed of the State.
AP CM Chandrababu Naidu said the elections were being held in Telangana State were the beginning of a change across the country. He wished that the Telangana State would become the number one state in the entire country. He alleged that CM KCR was making baseless allegations against him that he was obstructing the irrigation projects of the State. He also alleged that the TRS party had destroyed a great State like Telangana due to its misrule and anti-people policies. He made it clear to the people a government by the grand alliance would alone ensure a bright future for the Telangana State.
CPI national general secretary Sudhakar Reddy alleged that KCR was acting as the agent of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and added that they all had joined hands to defeat KCR in the elections. TJS president Prof. Kodandaram called upon the people of the State to vote for the restoration of democracy in the State in place of KCR-led feudal rule. He hoped that they would put an end to family rule in the State with the help of the people of the State.
Balladeer Gaddar said the grand alliance was alone the symbol of social justice and urged the people of the state to bless it to form the government in the state. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi and Chandrababu Naidu addressed several meetings at Kodad Assembly constituencies. (NSS)
