CM Jagan cancels Tirupathi public meeting

 Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister  YS Jaganmohan Reddy today canceled his public meeting scheduled to be held on the 14th of this month ahead of the Tirupathi Lok Sabha by-election. He made this announcement through his open letter to the people of the constituency.

In a statement here today, he said that he was canceling his public meeting due to the second wave of Covid 19 virus in the State.

He said that his decision was aimed at the welfare of the people of the state in the wake of the increased number of Covid 19 cases and deaths in Nellore and Chittoor districts of the state. He said that of the 24 people who died in the state due to the Covid 19 virus, 4 belonged to Nellie and the Chittoor districts.

He said that although he was not able to personally seek the votes of the people of the constituency, he said that they were aware of the welfare programs implemented by his government during his last 22-month long government. He said that he was of the opinion that his welfare programs had reached all the households of the state.
