The much-awaited Kondapur Flyover, which connects the Outer Ring Road (ORR) directly to Shilparamam Layout Phase 2, is nearing completion and is slated for inauguration by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in the first week of June 2025, according to a statement released by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
Built at a cost of ₹178 crore under the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP), the new flyover spans 1.2 km in length and 24 meters in width, and features six lanes. It is a three-level structure, uniquely designed to sit above the Gachibowli Junction flyover and the Shilparamam Layout Phase 1 flyover, forming the topmost tier in a vertical traffic solution.
The flyover is expected to ease traffic congestion at Gachibowli Junction, one of Hyderabad’s busiest intersections, and significantly reduce travel time for commuters traveling between Kondapur, Hafeezpet, HiTec City, and the Financial District.

The project aims to facilitate seamless connectivity between the ORR, Hytec City, and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, especially during peak traffic hours. It will benefit IT professionals and daily commuters by decongesting high-traffic zones.
The GHMC stated that although the project faced delays, the final phase of construction has been expedited under the supervision of GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan, who has directed engineers to ensure swift completion.
Once operational, this will be the 23rd flyover completed under SRDP. Out of 42 total SRDP projects, 37 have been completed so far. Remaining key projects include railway overbridges at Falaknuma and Shastripuram, targeted for completion by July and August 2025.
