CM YS Jaganmohan holds review on Covid 19 status

Amaravati: The Chief Minister of the state YS Jaganmohan Reddy today held a review meeting on the status of the COVID -19 virus pandemic in Andhra Pradesh. The officials of the state told the CM that there were 37,441 beds in the COVID 19 hospitals of the state. Of this,  2463 normal beds 11,177  beds with oxygen support, and 2651 ICU beds are lying vacant as on Friday, they said.

The officials told the CM YS Jaganmohan that some newspapers were deliberately writing false reports and carrying out a poisonous campaign against the state government. The officials also gave the details of the temporary appointments at all COVID-19 hospitals of the state. They told the CM of all the 30,887 vacancies, 21673  posts were filled up on a temporary basis and 4767 posts were filled up on regular basis. They also said that the recruitment of 5295 posts was underway in the state and added that the process would be completed during the next ten days.

 They also told the CM YS Jaganmohan that the state government was spending ₹10.18 crore for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. Speaking on the occasion, the CM has warned the private hospitals of the state to not dilute their Aarogyasri scheme. He asked the officials to set up help desks in all the Aarogyasri empaneled hospitals of the state by roping in the services of Aarogya Mitras. He also asked them to take action against those who commit mistakes.
