Hyderabad: The Commercial Taxes department today announced a toll-free phone number to receive complaints from general public on illegal flow of goods that will induce the people in Telangana going to Assembly polls on December 7.
In the wake of the Election Commission taking all measures to check the flow of illegal money or liquor or any other goods, the Commercial Taxes department has got into the field to check the violations. In an official communiqué, the Commercial Taxes Commissioner said the people can call on the toll-free number 1800 425 3787 to make complaints against the illegal movement of the goods that will be distributed by the political parties or candidates to influence the voters in the elections.
The Commissioner also said the informers will be rewarded if the goods move without payment of taxes. The identity of the informer will be kept confidential, he added. (NSS)
