Completion of Projects to irrigate 1.5 cr acres: Speaker

Hyderabad: Assembly Speaker P Srinivas Reddy today said that Telangana is making rapid strides in welfare and development. The state can bring under irrigation 1.50 cr acres in the state by completing the prestigious Kaleshwaram project and Palamur project respectively, he said.

The speaker unfurled the national flag to mark Telangana formation day at Medak district along with former Minister T Harish Rao and MP K Prabhakar Reddy with officials. On the occasion, the Speaker informed that Telangana is offering good governance and implementing schemes of welfare for poor and under privileged in the state.

Stating that the State was on growth path and attracting other states for its schemes and programs. Mission Bhagiratha is one such scheme that addressed the shortage of drinking water problem in villages and credit goes to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. The state is making speedy development in all sectors Srinivas Reddy said. (NSS)
