Congress, a curse to Telangana growth: KCR

Hyderabad: Caretaker Chief Minister KCR today lambasted that the Congress party is a curse to Telangana State.

Addressing a public meeting at Nalgonda here along with Minister G Jagadish Reddy, KCR took on the previous governments for deceiving the people of Nalgonda in the name of Nagarjuna Sagar project that was shifted 19 km down towards Andhra regon and dumping the Telangana region. The leaders conspired to deny the rightful share of Nagarjuna Sagar to Telangana region to become barren lands.

Godavari waters will be given to the villages of Nalgonda segment for the standing crops, he said. KCR attributed the destruction of human resources and professional communities to the ulterior motives of the Andhra rulers, who forced the police to kill Telangana protagonists. The Congress and TD rulers destroyed the segments in Telangana and ignored the welfare, he charged.

There were so many atrocities indulged by the Andhra leaders, who caused injustice to Telangana and as a result took back seat in all sectors. Nalgonda district was put to fluoride problem as then chief minister Burgula Ramakrishna Rao gave nod so blindly that he cannot say no to Delhi diktats or the final say of Andhra rulers.

He slammed local congress leader including K Jana Reddy and PCC Chief N Utham Kumar Reddy who does not know anything to make false charges. While the TRS Government has been making efforts to irrigate one crore acres by completing the irrigation projects the congress without shame moving the courts against them he fumed. Utham ran away from Assembly by skipping the power point presentation on irrigation projects.

He praised power minister G Jagadish Reddy who may not be tall as Utham and stout as Jana Reddy is more stronger for seeking development including a power plant in Damaracherla in Nalgonda district with which 4000 mw power will be available in two years. Jana and Utham did not dream of the power plants and we got Rs 30000 cr for the purpose and will give employment to people. The TRS boss has appealed to the people to do not confuse with the opposition misinformation campaign. Jana, Utham, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy did not oppose then chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy offering Rs 7000 cr for Chittoor waters and denied Rs 1 for Telangana, he charged
“We have convinced the Maharashtra government to get the share of the waters to Telangana by completing the irrigation projects, he said adding that 24 hour power was being offered to power sector. He praised local MLAs for turning green the crops while the Congress leaders swallowed funds and ignored the people, who fought for 25 years.

“We have sanctioned Rs 250 cr for completing three canals in the segment. The Congress leaders destroyed the district and we took up the development of all segments. If I spoke wrong do not vote for the TRS or if you find truths then defeat the Opposition through a befitting lesson, he said. The TRS dispensation has offered Rs 2000 cr for Minorities while the Centre allotted a paltry Rs 4000 cr in the entire country. (NSS)
