Congress Mahila Chief Blasts KCR for non-inclusion of Woman Minister

Hyderabad : TPCC mahila wing state president Nerella Sharada, taking strong exception to the comments made by state education minister G. Jagadish Reddy against the women of the state, on Wednesday demanded him to withdraw his words and tender an apology to the women. She said that the comments made by Jagadish reddy amounted to an insult to the women.

Addressing media persons in the city, she also targeted the ruling TRS party MP K. Kavitha although indirectly. She wondered as to how the best parliamentarian award was won by the TRS leader and doubted if there was no scope for other women of the ruling TRS party to grow in the party except the family member of the CM.

Taking potshots at the ruling party leaders, she wanted to know from them as to who would they force to wear a sari and look like a woman cabinet minister. Noting that the ruling TRS party has four women MLAs, she demanded them to resign from their posts,  if they were not suitable for the state cabinet minister post. She claimed that there was no state cabinet in the entire country without a woman minister. She demanded the state government to appoint a woman leader for the women and child welfare department. She urged the women of the state to take a vow that they would not vote for the TRS party in the upcoming elections.(NSS)
