Congress nominates seven Muslim candidates

Hyderabad: The Congress has announced the name of two Muslim candidates viz Osman bin  Mohammed Al Hajri candidate from Karwan Assembly constituency in Hyderabad District, and Taher Bin Hamdan from Nizamabad ( Urban ) and two ST and two SC  among the 13 candidates in the third list.

The congress earlier nominated five Muslim candidates, Mohammed Shabbir Ali from Kamareddy, Mohammed Feroz Khan from Nampally, Mohammed Ghouse from Charminar, Kaleem Baba from Bahadurpura and Esa Bin Obaid Misri from Chandrayangutta, so far seven Muslim candidates were nominated from out of 88 candidates announced  by the congress in Telangana Assembly elections.

The Congress has so far announced candidates for 88 seats in the 119-member Telangana Assembly elections. The first list is of 65 candidates and the second list is of 10 candidates.

The Congress is heading a four-party alliance calling ‘Mahakutami’ and it has left 24 seats for its three allies — Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) and Communist Party of India.
