Hyderabad: Shamshabad Airport police today obstructed former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy, who went to welcome AICC chief Rahul Gandhi, stating that his name was not in the receivers list. Interestingly, the Congress leaders went to the Shamshabad Airport in large numbers, but the police declined to allow them to enter the airport.
On the other hand, the Shamshabad police, particularly DCP Padmaja Reddy did not give media passes till the scribes reached the Classic Convention function hall. The police told the Congress leaders that a red alert was announced on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15. (NSS)
