Hyderabad: Under the supervision of M. Ramesh, IPS, DCP, East Zone, and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sultan Bazaar division, a cordon and search was conducted on Friday from 5 pm to 7 pm in the limits of P.S. Sultan Bazar. They said they conducted the cordon and search operation with five search parties, six cut-off parties and three lifting parties and covered Chowdary Bagh residential area.
During the operation, the police seized 30 two- wheeler which were not having proper documents and five persons were taken into custody for moving under suspicious circumstances, verified their antecedents and were let off as there were no adverse remarks against them. The police officials interacted with the local people, educated them about “Nenu Saitham” program being implemented by the Police Department and the uses of erection of more CC TV cameras in the locality to curb offences. They said most of the people complained about the illegal parking in the area by the strangers.
The ACP Sultan Bazar addressed the gathering and explained about the services of police i.e. Dial 100, She Team, Wow, Hawk Eye, Face Book, Twitter, Whats app and requested the colony people to use the services if they face any problem. The locals urged the police to take care about snatchers and tenants and furnish their information to police and also created awareness about cheaters, illegal financiers and also illegal chit fund holders.
