Hyderabad: As some 1.4 lakh of autos in the capital city were operating in an unsafe and haphazard manner without adequate documents and unlicensed drivers and also some drivers misbehaving with passengers, charging undue fare and aiding unlawful activities, City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, IPS, today notified for the information of general public that all owners/drivers of autos and other vehicles of this category will register themselves with Hyderabad Traffic police and carry the requisite documentation.
The CP said all the owners, who are desirous of operating in the jurisdiction of Hyderabad Commissionerate will have to apply for registration of the drivers / Owners in the given format specified for Auto Registration of this notification along with valid documents given thereof. They will have to provide proof of identification and address. They have to provide RC of Vehicle and have to provide Driving License. They have to provide Identity proof of Driver and Owner. They will have to carry and stick QR coded UV printed board, QR Coded front sticker & back sticker display as issued and placed it in a place visible to the passengers sitting in the rear seat at all times.
This registration will be valid for a period of one year or validity of documents whichever is earliest, on expiry they have to apply for renewal. Hired vehicles which violate these rules will be liable for action under Hyderabad City Police Act and relevant provision of the IPC and M.V Act. The application / Registration process will be starting from 17-01-2019. All owners/drivers are requested to take note of above and cooperate with Hyderabad City Traffic Police during the Auto registration Process at Specified Centers. (NSS)
