Hyderabad: As a part of Citizen Friendly and Responsive Policing, Hyderabad City Police has taken a step forward during January 2015 and launched a Mobile App “Hawk-Eye” to empower the public to become Citizen Police and nearly 8,96,030 users are using the application.
The Hawk Eye app facilitates registered users to report loss of their mobile phones. Basing on the complaints, the IT core team at the Commissioner’s office tracks the lost mobile phones by using their IMEI numbers. As a part of this endeavor, it is to mention that the team was successful in recovering 67 mobile phones worth Rs 6 lakh with the help of the West Zone Task force.
The Commissioner advised all the citizens to download the Hawk Eye Mobile App and get benefited by the various range of features such as to cross check the IMEI numbers with the lost Mobiles IMEI numbers in the event of purchasing a second-hand mobile phone and so on.
