Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, IPS, issued P.D. order against Kasab Sathyam, 32, alias Sathyam, Ashok and Mohd Riaz, painter and property offender residing at Afzalsagar, Mallepally, Habeeb Nagar, of Afzalgunj Police Station on November 12.
The CP said the accused, a resident of Afzalsagar, Mallepally, Habeeb Nagar, committed offences of snatchings of gold chains and money from the passengers traveling in trains and RTC buses under the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate limits. He said the detenu committed 14 property offences and has been creating panic among the general public and adversely affecting the public order, apart from disturbing peace, tranquility and social harmony in the society.
The Afzalgunj Police arrested Kasab Sathyam on June 19 this year and remanded him to judicial custody. The Preventive Detention Order was executed on him on November 26 and lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail. (NSS)
