Hyderabad: Chief Secretary SK Joshi today directed officials concerned to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide common mobility card for commuters in the city.
During a review meeting at the Secretariat here today, Joshi said the common mobility card has been made useful for the travelers for Metro Rail, RTC Buses, MMTS, Autos and cabs. The meeting attended by top officials concerned, including RTC ED Purushotham, delegates of Ola, Uber, Auto Unions and Service providers, Banks and L&T. The proposal should enable the commuters in the city to avail the transport facility of their choice and other facilities without any hiccups, the Chief Secretary said. The cards should have details like QR code, swiping, open loop ticketing system and others to ensure smooth drive for the travelers, he said.
Joshi stressed the need for use of single card with latest technologies and practices at world level to make multiple use of transport facilities in a hassle-free manner. He sought to know about the facilities required and issues to be addressed. Joshi asked the officials to sort out the issue without any further delay and prepare the cards. (NSS)
